From InterpreterHub to AI Linguist Hub
InterpreterHub began as a focused community for over-the-phone interpreters — a place to learn the craft, hold each other to a professional standard, and find real work. It is still here, now as a dedicated branch inside something larger: AI Linguist Hub, covering both OPI and remote simultaneous interpreting (RSI).
We made that change because we believe the language world is about to change for the better. Not because AI will replace interpreters — it won't do the part of this job that actually matters — but because it can take over the parts that never needed a human in the first place: rote memorization, slow prep, practicing alone with no feedback.
That leaves more room for the things that make interpreters irreplaceable: split-second judgment, neutrality under pressure, cultural nuance, and the ethical weight of carrying someone else's words faithfully. AI Linguist Hub exists to lean into that shift instead of fighting it — using technology to get interpreters prepared faster, so they can spend their careers on the human part of the work no model can do.
